This is the Land of the Free and The Home of the Braves. Now thank God for all our freedoms. We fought and died to secure. Now we must be willing to fight, suffer, and die to keep them alive in the 21st Century. Don't give UP!

1st Complete Distribution Outreach on behalf of the people

Many citizens feel there have been at least three news worthy events that have gone unreported in the Valdosta-Lowndes County community. No calls are necessary since concerned citizens will be addressing these issues in the very near future if others fail to do so soon.

We believe citizens have a right to know what is going on in their community. We fully believe in open government and a free press. As President of the Valdosta, Lowndes County Branch of the NAACP, and on behalf of the members I represent.

It is not only my duty and obligation to inform the citizens of incidents and problems that affects the life of parents and their children. But it is my personal responsibility to help reduce their internal pain

I was notified during the first week of June 2006 by several citizens within a certain facility that an individual possibly had had a stroke. Leaving out the circumstances surrounding this incident. He was released from the facility, taken home, then taken to a local hospital where he later died. His name was JOSEPH McFADDEN.

The other two newsworthy events should be on some desk blotter or in your archives where you notified the general public of these alleged incident. If not---why not?

Separate from the above. I recently forwarded an e-mail to major local news media outlets asking for information as to when the public was notified of the death of James N. Starling, age 63, died 1 May 1996, of Coronary Atherosclerotic Disease, and Clarence Fender, age 70, died 2 April 2006, who died from a heart attack.

The Valdosta-Lowndes County Branch of the NAACP awaits a response from our local media outlets as to when the public was notifeid. We seek this information on behalf of our membership, local citizens, and others who requested our help in this matter.

Lastly, I thank all media outlets around the nation for keeping the American citizens informed of news worthy events. It is what make our nation great and show real support for our troops now fighting for democracy for the people of Iraq. Moreover, their sacrifices compliment the founding mothers and fathers of our Great Republic. To them all, we say thanks!
